When I Come Down Again - Julie Matthews
From the album ‘Quest’ While and Matthews

I’m no better I’m no worse than all the rest
But I’ve got a problem that keeps me from my best
My talent deserted me and I’m so ashamed
My medication keeps me sane

And though I shouldn’t sometimes I will hide my pill
I just want to get through this with my own free will
And this feeling creeps up on me as cold as stone
And leaves me in this big black hole alone

Please say you’ll wait for me
On the outside while I’m locked within
She’s all that breaks my fall
When I come back down again

If I close my eyes, cover my ears and hang my head
I could be somewhere new and somebody else instead
And I wouldn’t get angry, or scream and shout,
I’m waiting for her to pull me out

Please say you’ll wait for me
On the outside while I’m locked within
She’s all that breaks my fall
When I come back down again

Whatever you see don’t forget about me
Whatever you hear I’m still in here

Please say you’ll wait for me
On the outside while I’m locked within
She’s all that breaks my fall
When I come back down again
