Burden of Paradise - Rosehill Theatre, Whitehaven, 17th March

Julie writes;

I can't recommend highly enough Burden of Paradise
You all probably know, I am a huge fan of Helen Watson, having worked alongside
her in Daphne's Flight and in our vocal workshops but I really wasn't preapred for just
how blown away I would be when I went along to see Helen's new project on Saturday
night in Whitehaven.
The members of the ensemble are;
Snake Davis - legendary and highly acclaimed sax player, his CV reads like a who's who
in the music buisness.
Dave Bowie - Fabulous Double Bassist
Mark Cresswell - The most exquisite and tasteful guitarist I have seen in ages.
Helen Watson - The creme de la creme.

The sound was like a hi-fi, the material was so well chosen and it was executed with warmth, precision, humour and
musicianship of a calibre that is pure gold. Dave and Mark provided a subtle but solid platform on which Helen could pour
her honey like vocals over each song while Snake weaved in and out with delicacy and beauty showing us why he has earned
the reputation of one of the finest sax players in the country.
I could effuse all night about how totally brilliant these four are but instead I'll urge you to see for yourself. They are touring throughout April and into May, miss them and miss out.
